Captain William "W.J." Rust has been fishing the Galveston Bay complex for over 20 years.  He started fishing from the beachfront in the late nineties while attending Texas A&M in College Station, TX.  He would make weekend trips with long surf rods sticking out the back of his pickup and find a fishy looking spot on the beach and set up for a long day of fishing.

Captain W.J. has come a long way since his early days of coming to the beach.  After moving to the Galveston area in 2007, he spent thousands of hours on the water learning anything and everything he could about the bay.

Now he fishes across Galveston Bay using artificial and natural baits hunting down speckled trout, redfish, and flounder.
